The ratio of students to teachers in Atlantis Charter District fell by 2.3% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

There were 1,277 students being taught by 99.5 teachers in Atlantis Charter District, which covers schools within Bristol County and has a main office in Fall River. That's an average of 12.8 students per teacher in the district during the 2021-22 school year.

In the previous year, Atlantis Charter District had 1,296 students and 98.8 teachers on staff.

Massachusetts was ranked as the eighth best state for teachers, according to a WalletHub study.

Despite the shortage, under-representation of ethnicities among teachers was found to be a concern. The Rennie Center reported that only nine percent of teachers are people of color.
