All members of the community (including students & faculty) are welcome to make an appointment at the Dental Hygiene Clinic at Bristol Community College's Fall River Campus. Clinic patients must provide proof of COVID vaccination at the time of their appointment as part of the COVID daily screening process. The fee for the service is a suggested donation of $10. No insurance is required. All Bristol Community College Dental Hygiene students, staff and faculty are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus for your protection.

Mon/Wed/Fri: 9 a.m. & 1 p.m. |
Tue/Thu: 8 a.m., 10 a.m., & 1:30 p.m.
Dental Hygiene Services:
Cleaning and Exam
Students, under the supervision of faculty, will perform a thorough examination and cleaning of the teeth. This includes examining the hard and soft tissue of the head and neck, assessing normal tissue and tooth structures, recording present fillings, crowns, and bridges, evaluating soft debris and plaque in the mouth, and removing calcified deposits from patients' teeth.
Periodontal Exam
This process involves the evaluation of the gums and bone around the teeth to identify conditions that may compromise periodontal health and function.

- Fluoride treatment
- Nutritional counseling
- Health history screening
- Oral cancer screening
- Blood pressure screening
- Appliance (denture/partial) cleaning
These services offer explanations and demonstrations of individualized oral hygiene techniques.
Sealants
The student will place the protective plastic coating on the chewing surfaces of eligible teeth to prevent cavities.
Radiographs (X-Rays)
Panoramic bitewing and/or full mouth radiographs to examine the teeth and surrounding structures. A duplicate set of x-rays will be forwarded to the patient's dentist for a diagnosis.
