Cost of college went up for all students at Stonehill College

Tuition and fees rose 3.5 percent for 2018-19 at Stonehill College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Massachusetts students paid $42,746 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,446 more than the $41,300 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 659 students received grants or scholarships totaling $15.3 million and 452 students took out student loans totaling more than $4.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (2,556), 2,411 students used grants or scholarships totaling $58.7 million, and 1,681 students took out $10.7 million in federal student loans.
