The City of Attleboro announced on May 8 that a water main break occurred at 72 Hebron Ave., resulting in water service being shut off to Hebron Avenue and possibly surrounding side streets. The city said the road remains open to emergency vehicles.

Residents are advised that some discoloration of the water may occur during this period. The city recommends planning laundry activities accordingly and specifically asks residents to avoid using chlorine bleach in laundry while the issue persists.

Anyone experiencing discolored water for more than 24 hours is encouraged to contact the Water Department at 774-203-1850. The city apologized for the inconvenience and asked for patience as repairs are made.
