The NCAA has announced the field of competitors for the 2023 Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships and UMass Dartmouth graduate student Andrew Swallow has been selected. It marks the second straight appearance at indoor nationals for Swallow, who took 16th overall in 2022. This year's championship will be held March 10-11 at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama.

Swallow will be in action on Saturday, March 11 as the shot put event gets underway with prelims and finals beginning at 11am. Currently, he ranks 15th among the nation's best in his signature event with a qualifying throw of 16.21 meters (50'3.25") - which he achieved on January 7, 2023 with a victory at the USM II Invitational.

Over the course of the 2023 indoor campaign, Swallow has posted six victories over 10 meets in the shot put, including six throws of over 50 feet. He opened the season with shot put victories at the USM II, Tufts Jumbo Invite, the Tufts Branwen Smith-King Invite and the Wheaton Invite. Swallow has finished no lower than 10th on the season with nine of his efforts among the top five.

At this year's Little East Conference Championships, Swallow helped the Corsairs to their second straight title and third in the last four years after winning the shot put with a throw of 14.88 meters (48'10") - marking his fourth consecutive championship and All-Conference First Team effort in the event.

Swallow, who owns the UMass Dartmouth indoor school record in the shot put, looks to capture his first All-America honor at this year's national championship. Action gets underway at 11am and can be followed via live stats by clicking HERE
