For the second time this season, Alexa Van Voorhis of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth women's cross country team has been named the Little East Conference (LEC) Runner of the Week.
The graduate student was the top finisher among LEC runners at the Keene State Invitational on Satuday, edging Keene State's Margaret St. John by two-tenths of a second for her ninth-place finish among 138 runners. From Raynham, Mass., Van Voorhis helped the Corsairs finish seventh out of the 18 teams competing.
Van Voorhis has been the top finisher for UMass Dartmouth in each race this season.
The Corsairs continue their season at the Suffolk Invitational at Franklin park in Boston at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.
