The freshman picked up 94 digs in four matches

Freshman Emily Pogorelec of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth volleyball team was tabbed the Little East Conference (LEC) Defensive Player of the Week for the second-straight week.

A native of Wayne, N.J., Pogorelec tallied 94 digs over four matches and 19 sets for an average of 4.95 digs per set on the week. The libero first recorded 21 digs at Wentworth, then had a season-high 26 against Plymouth State, and added 22 versus SUNY Potsdam and 25 at Roger Williams.

On the season, Pogorelec leads the LEC with 153 digs and 5.46 digs per set.

UMass Dartmouth is at Salve Regina next for a 7 p.m. start on Tuesday.
