After returning to the Little East Conference (LEC) Tournament for the first time since 2013, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth men's soccer team was voted sixth in the LEC preseason poll by the head coaches across the league.

The Corsairs received 25 points for the sixth-place mark, which is the final postseason spot. Eastern Connecticut was voted to win the conference with 61 points and six of the nine possible first-place votes. Second went to WestConn with 54 points and two first-place votes, followed by UMass Boston with 49 points and the remaining top vote. Rounding out the pack was Rhode Island College (45 pts.), Keene State (38 pts.), UMass Dartmouth (25 pts.), Southern Maine (19 pts.), Castleton (18 pts.) and Plymouth State (15 pts.).

UMass Dartmouth returns sophomore Lucas Passaro, who led the team with three goals in 2021 with two assists for eight points. Sophomores Jacob Murphy (2 goals) and Cameron Jacob (1 goal) are back as well on the offensive end.

UMassD begins its season at home on Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. against Framingham State.
