The Town of Fairhaven is pleased to announce the results of the Annual Town election held on April 4, 2022 for the Select Board race.
At the Annual Town Meeting in June 2021, members voted to change the name from Board of Selectmen to Select Board and to add 2 more members to the Board.
Current Board members Robert Espindola and Keith Silvia will welcome Stasia Powers, Leon Correy III and Charles K. Murphy at their next meeting on Monday, April 11, 2022. Ms. Powers recently served on the Board to fill an unexpired term held by former Select Board member Daniel Freitas. With this election, Ms. Powers will hold the 3 year term, and Mr. Correy, the 2 year term and Mr. Murphy, the 1 year term.
This meeting will also be the first meeting for newly appointed Town Administrator Angie Lopes Ellison, hired on February 10, 2022, after a yearlong search to replace retired town administrator Mark Rees. We thank Mr. Rees for his years of service to the Town of Fairhaven.
