The Stonehill women’s track and field team participated in the Jim Kavanaugh Legacy Invitational hosted by Holy Cross on April 18, showcasing several strong performances.
The event provided an opportunity for Stonehill athletes to achieve personal bests and high placements against regional competition. Athletes from multiple classes contributed to the team’s results throughout the afternoon.
Junior Madison Stott placed seventh in the 100-meter dash with a personal-best time of 12.81 seconds. Sophomore Sydney O’Donnell also achieved a personal best, finishing the 400-meter race in 1:04.75. Senior Jordan Malloy finished fourth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:35.05, while senior Grace Tyrrell was fourth in the 400 hurdles at 1:04.87.
Other notable performances included sophomore Mallory Hildredth’s fourth-place finish in the steeplechase with a personal-best time of 7:14.44, and sophomore Hannah Santos securing second place in the high jump with a mark of 1.57 meters. Senior Kaia Eder placed fourth both in long jump (5.11 meters) and triple jump (10.99 meters), while sophomore Samantha Gaudet took fourth place in discus, recording her own personal-best mark of 40.28 meters.
Looking ahead, Stonehill is scheduled to host its next meet—the Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational—at W.B. Mason Stadium on Saturday, April 25 at noon.
