The Stonehill women’s golf team improved its performance on April 18 by cutting 25 strokes from its first-day score during the second day of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship Tournament. The team posted a combined score of 315 and is currently ranked ninth overall in the competition.
This improvement was led by junior Kenna Roman, who advanced 27 spots on the individual leaderboard after carding a three-over par 74 that included one birdie. Senior Jaelyn DeBoise also made significant progress, moving up 16 places with her own round of 74. Junior Helen Brodahl contributed two birdies and finished with a score of 80.
The strong showing reflects both individual efforts and overall team progress as they navigate through the tournament standings.
According to tournament organizers, Stonehill will next step away from conference play for an upcoming match at Harvard scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 at 4 p.m.
The team’s recent gains set a positive tone as they prepare for their next event and look to build on their momentum.
