The Stonehill women’s basketball team was named the recipient of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Team Sportsmanship Award, according to a May 18 announcement from the conference office.
The award recognizes teams that demonstrate outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season. Stonehill’s women’s basketball program, led by head coach Trisha Brown, earned this honor for the second time since joining the conference.
In addition to women’s basketball, Stonehill also received sportsmanship awards in men’s basketball and men’s indoor track and field. Other winter sport recipients included Wagner for both women’s bowling and men’s swimming and diving, while Le Moyne was recognized in women’s swimming and diving as well as women’s indoor track and field.
