The Stonehill swimming and diving team achieved three new school records during a meet against Brandeis at Linsey Pool in Waltham, Massachusetts. The Skyhawks won the event with a score of 106-41, improving their season record to 3-4 in dual meets. Brandeis remains winless at 0-9.
Junior Grace Idowu set two school records by winning the butterfly event with a time of 26.31 seconds and setting a new mark in the 50 freestyle at 24.04 seconds. Senior Kristy Barry established a new record in the 100 individual medley, finishing in 59.56 seconds.
The meet also marked the first time Stonehill competed in diving events. Sophomore Molly Clifford scored 78.22 points on the one-meter board, earning nine points for her team.
Stonehill’s next competition is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, at the Siena Sprint Meet in Loudonville, New York. The Skyhawks hold a dual meet record of 3-4 while Siena stands at 3-7.
