The Stonehill men’s track and field team placed fourth after the first day of the 2026 Northeast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, according to a May 2 announcement.

This result follows three podium finishes by Stonehill athletes. The team’s performance on the opening day sets them up as contenders for higher placement in the remaining events of the championship.

Junior Dylan Brilliant secured third place in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 31:12.62. Freshman James Scott also earned a spot on the podium, finishing third in javelin with a mark of 53.27 meters. The Skyhawks’ 4×800 meter relay team—consisting of Colin Keane, Declan Smith, Matthew Maloria, and Benjamin—finished third as well, clocking in at 7:46.16.

Stonehill is scheduled to return for day two of competition on Sunday, May 3. The results from these final events will determine their overall standing at this year’s NEC Outdoor Championships.

The next phase could offer further opportunities for Stonehill’s athletes to advance or improve their rankings.
