Three juniors from the Stonehill College baseball team have received preseason honors from Perfect Game. Nathan Kearney, Ryan LeClair, and Dylan McCarthy were named to the outlet’s Preseason All-Conference selections.
Nathan Kearney was highlighted in Perfect Game’s NEC Preview as he was chosen as the NEC Preseason Rookie of the Year. “Kearney, who has battled injuries throughout his first two seasons at Stonehill, has appeared in nine career games for the Skyhawks, totaling 27 at-bats. In limited action, he has recorded five hits, one run scored, one RBI, and two walks, and enters 2026 poised to make an impact with a healthy campaign,” according to the announcement.
Ryan LeClair earned a spot on the Preseason All-NEC Team after being named to the All-NEC Second Team last year. He had a strong season in 2025 with career highs in most offensive categories. LeClair hit .282 with 44 runs, 46 hits, 11 doubles, three home runs, and 34 RBI. He also drew 26 walks, was hit by pitches 16 times, and stole 16 bases. He led Stonehill hitters in conference play last season with a .326 average and a .967 OPS over 30 NEC games.
Dylan McCarthy joins Stonehill for his first season after transferring from George Mason University. While at George Mason, McCarthy pitched in three games for a total of three innings and recorded one strikeout. He is expected to add depth to Stonehill’s starting rotation alongside returning pitchers Jimmy Gilleran and Hunter Bell.
The Skyhawks will begin their 2026 season this weekend with a four-game series against Texas A&M–Corpus Christi starting Friday, February 13.
