Galusha sets Stonehill freshman record at NEICAAA Indoor Championships

Freshman Isabella Galusha set a new freshman record in the 800-meter event for Stonehill College on the first day of the 2026 New England NEICAAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, held Friday in Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Galusha finished fifth in the 800-meter race with a personal-best time of 2:14.89, surpassing the previous freshman mark for Stonehill. Senior Grace Tyrrell also achieved a personal milestone by qualifying for the finals of the 500-meter after running a personal-best time of 1:17.20 during preliminaries.

Junior Kellie Harrington improved her own best in the 5,000-meter event by three seconds, recording a time of 18:18.02 and finishing twelfth. Sophomore Hannah Santos tied for seventh place in the high jump with a height of 1.57 meters.

The Skyhawks’ team in the 4000 Distance Medley Relay completed their race with a time of 12:37.33.

Stonehill will compete again on Saturday, March 7, for day two of the championships.
