The Attleboro Parks Department announced on April 23 that it will host an Arbor Day celebration this Saturday at Highland Park. The event is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Rathbun-Willard Drive parking lot side of the park.

Arbor Day events encourage community members to participate in environmental stewardship and support local green initiatives. This gathering aims to bring residents together for a morning focused on trees and sustainability.

Attendees will have the opportunity to pick up a free sapling of their choice, as well as enjoy giveaways provided by local partners, according to the announcement from the Parks Department. The department said it looks forward to welcoming participants at Highland Park.

The event highlights ongoing efforts by city departments and community organizations to promote green living and environmental awareness among residents.

The Parks Department said it encourages everyone interested in supporting urban forestry or learning more about tree planting to join them for this annual occasion.
